Summer is already upon us and I can't be more thrilled! I am endeavoring on a new journey, UNDERWATER PORTRAITS! I have all my equipment in and am ready to go! Sessions in July available to be scheduled now!

I'm so thankful that I've been so busy that I haven't been able to keep the blog updated. I've been working on schools, and portraits, new projects for the summer and exciting new products for Mothers Day. Here is an update to one of my favorite sessions. What a cutie!

Art show is up in the Arlington Museum of Art

My art exhibit is up and running now through the end of the month at the Arlington Museum of Art. I invite everyone to come view my exhibit, called Salvation, during the month, and join me Sunday, March 25, 2:00-5:00pm at the closing reception. All are images never before shown publically and available for sale. The show is a tribute to my late uncle Tom, who died in 2006. Images are a departure from my portraits and decorative art. I hope that the abstracted images will bring some meaning to his death and inspire discussion. Laura Legg Photography is offering Senior Portrait Sessions

Wouldn’t you like to commemorate your graduate’s High School Achievements with a Senior Portrait Session? Each Session includes a sitting with up to 3 wardrobe changes for $250. I am happy to have the entire family join for a time to get a full family portrait as well. This comes with a web gallery that will host all of the edited images for 30 days, along with 3 digital downloads for prints up to 5x7 and a $50 print credit. The $250 is due at the time that we set the appointment. This beautiful weather gives us a great opportunity to use many outdoor locations that we typically would not be able to use this time of the year.

This program also offers your senior a chance to do additional "mini" session (no wardrobe changes) any time during our Senior Sundays for just $50.

New Year, New Improvements

It has already been an exciting year with Laura Legg Photography going in many directions. The first, and most important change for all of my clients, is a new web site. The new site will be up and running by Feb 11. The site will be clean and sleek and offer much better ways to communicate and streamline the ordering process. I plan on having great customer service with the help of the new site technology and a new customer service manager on staff!

The important part for all of you to know is that the old site, hosted by smugmug, will be going away. Because I host over 27,000 images on that site, it is logistically impossible for me to insure that I have every image backed up and cataloged.

I cannot guarantee that your images will continue to be held for you.

Coordinating the family photo shoot

I get the question, "What should we wear?" a lot. Here a few examples that worked out perfectly. These families chose to work with blues and grays

, adding in some white or off-white and in one case a pink that coordinated with dad's shirt that had a pink stripe. Congrats to all of my best coordinated!

Garland Pawsibilities

I enjoyed meeting a new family and supporters of the Garland Pawsabilities. They are great advocates for animals and you could see the love their dogs have for them. Here is a sneak peak.

Booking before the holidays

This year has flown by and now I find that the time for holiday portraits is getting thin.  To help coordinate schedules, I have made a public calendar for sittings available.  If you are interested in these times available they can be booked for $175 instead of the regular $250.  Let me know soon since they are sure to fill up fast.  Other times, particularly weekdays are available at full price.  Please call or email to coordinate.

Its that time again

Its fall and my busiest time of year.  I am scheduling holiday portraits, parties and weddings.  There are always the ones that put it off until the last minute, so if you can plan early you will save money.  Let me know if you are interested in hosting a portrait party, more information to come.  Sitting fees are $75 if scheduled this week only.

Mandy and Craig

I had a great time last night celebrating with friends Craig and Mandy. This back yard BBQ wedding shower was put together flawlessly.  Every last detail had been taken care of and looked great.  Thanks for including me.  All of the images will be up by Tuesday.
